Last Thursday evening saw The Sporting Club Ireland host a truly memorable event at the Clayton Hotel Ballsbridge, with a fantastic atmosphere that perfectly captured what the Club is all about. From the moment guests arrived, there was a genuine buzz in the room — plenty of laughter, meaningful conversation and, most importantly, people fully engaged with one another.

Our headline guest, Johnny Sexton, was exceptional throughout the evening — honest, engaging and incredibly generous with his time. The room was completely captivated. One particularly touching moment saw a 13-year-old guest meet Johnny, an experience that absolutely made his night and perfectly summed up the magic of evenings like this.
We were also brilliantly supported by Neil McManus, who brought warmth, humour and insight to the stage, and a very special mention must go once again to Claudia Scanlon. Claudia’s story was powerful, brave and deeply inspiring, reminding everyone present why supporting causes such as DEBRA – The Butterfly Skin Charity truly matters.
