The Sporting Club Scotland made a sparkling debut at the iconic Greyfriars Kirk, delivering a night of sport, business, and celebration to remember.
Guests enjoyed welcome drinks, photos with Scotland Head Coach Gregor Townsend, and a lively game of Heads and Tails before sitting down to a Michelin star quality dinner. Hosted by Ian Stafford, the evening featured interviews with Townsend, fellow rugby legend Craig Chalmers, Celtic great Scott Brown—winner of 11 league titles and 55 Scotland caps—and Alex McCutcheon, Head Coach of Leith Rugby Club.
A thrilling auction included jerseys signed by Townsend and Chalmers, plus a rare bottle of Glenmorangie signed by the 1999 Triple Crown team, which sold for over £1,000. Generous fundraising also supported the My Name’s Doddie Foundation.
With world-class food, flowing drinks, and inspiring company, the launch set the perfect tone for The Sporting Club Scotland—good people, good business, good fun.
Next up? Dinner with Judy Murray at Hibernian Football Club on November 19th. Full details at thesportingclub.co/events.
