Daley Thompson starred once again as he became the main man at the LSC at Morton’s in Mayfair yesterday. The two time Olympic decathlon champion entertained another packed dining room with his story detailing his rise from a difficult childhood to sporting superstardom, including breaking four world records, winning the inaugural world title and becoming BBC Sports Personality of the Year. Craig Chalmers, the former Scotland rugby fly half, also spoke as did Tony Doyle, the former world cycling champion and soap star actress Gemma Oaten. Funds were raised for the British Heart Foundation on the day as well. Thanks to Jura, as always, for sponsoring us.
