The Sporting Club Soho

The Sporting Club Soho, can be found at the L'Escargot Restaurant. L’Escargot is London’s oldest and most glamorous French restaurant. All facilities can be used by London Sporting Club members.

L'Escargot is open from Tuesday to Saturday 12pm to 3pm; 5pm to 10:30pm.
Sundays 12pm to 5pm.
Afternoon tea is Tuesday to Sunday between 2pm and 4pm.

The L'Escargot Restaurant is housed in a magnificent Georgian town-house dating from 1741.

General
L'Escargot is celebrating its 98th year in 2025. Since 1927 guests have enjoyed wonderful classic French cuisine served in throughout the Georgian Townhouse. The snail farm in the basement is long gone and the menu, whilst still serving up the best of French classic dishes has also developed to suit not only long lunches but also a quick bite to eat before a meeting or the theatre.

The upper floors of L’Escargot are an exclusive members club where guests can relax away from the hustle of central London’s Soho. The labyrinthine corridors are the perfect place to lose yourself after a long day at work or host the perfect party for friends and family.

Salon Vert
A dramatic room with a stunning 18th Century ceiling and mirrored walls and large windows looking over Greek Street. This is an ideal room for any breakfast, lunch or dinner event.

Library
Tucked away at the back of the townhouse, with its panelled walls and its own bar, the Library is a secret sophisticated hideaway. This is the place to get deals done.

The Top Floor at L'Escargot
The Salons Bleu, Rouge and the Snail Bar are on the top floor of the imposing townhouse. While away the afternoon in the barrel-vaulted Snail Bar or host a tiny dinner for 4 people in the Salon Rouge or take the whole floor for up to 80 people.

The Ground Floor at L'Escargot
The Restaurant situated on the ground floor is an enchanting space, serving delicious food and a complimentary drink with any lunch or dinner for all members of The Sporting Club.
