Tindall Makes it a Royal Rugby Hit
Mike Tindall was in exceptional form yesterday as he headlined our February lunch at our Mayfair Club. The world rugby cup winner, married to the Queen's grand-daughter Zara Phillips, delighted a Morton's dining room bursting at the seams with his tales of winning world cups, international rugby with England, the great players and teammates plus life with Zara, winning the Welsh Grand National with his horse and his thoughts on the current Six Nations and forthcoming world cup. Other stars in the room who spoke were ex Scotland rugby international Rory Lawson, ex Irish rugby international Rob Henderson, the former Gloucestershire wicketkeeper-batsman Andy Brassington and the former British heavyweight boxing champion, Scott Welch. Singer Steven Greenhill delighted us with "World in Union" and "Nessun Dorma" and we raised money for Cure Parkinsons Trust after CEO Will Cook spoke.
