At the Ambler Club, Ground Floor, St Paul’s House, Park Square, Leeds, LS1 2ND.
1-3pm.
Our first event at our wonderful Leeds club features two legendary former players from the Leeds Rhinos rugby league team.
Kevin Sinfield, aka “Sir Kev,” is the current Director of Rugby at the Rhinos, having enjoyed one of the most successful careers in the history of the sport. He is the highest points scorer in Super League history. He played 521 times for Leeds and scored a staggering 3,967 points.
Barrie McDermott played 283 times for Leeds as a prop, as well as for GB, winning both the Super League and Challenge Cup. He is now Head of Youth Development at the Rhinos.
Both have been avid supporters of their former teammate, Rob Burrow, who’s very public fight with MND has inspired them and us for the past two years. Sinfield ran seven marathons in seven days last November raising £2M for MND research. He finished 2nd to Andy Murray in BBC SPOTY in 2015.
We will be raising money for the Rob Burrow Foundation.
Come and enjoy the company of these two greats over drinks and platters of food.
