“Let’s Play Darts” with Phil “The Power” Taylor

Wednesday, December 4th, 2019: Manchester Hall, Bridge Street, Manchester: 6-8.45pm.

He is, without any debate, the greatest darts player the world has ever seen, a man who everyone knows simply as “The Power.” His stats alone are barely believable. 214 professional tournaments won, 85 major titles, 16 world championships including eight consecutively between 1995-2002 and 14 consecutive world finals. The first man to ever produce a nine-dart finish live on TV. In fact he became the second, third, fourth, fifth and sixth as well! And in 2010 he was runner up in Sports Personality of the Year. Perhaps most of all the former sheet metal worker was the embodiment of the incredible revolution in darts that saw the sport transform from a pub game watched by a few into the mass market sport devoured by millions on TV and at live arenas globally, and supported by the likes of Prince Harry, Rio Ferdinand and many more. Enjoy a two course dinner, have your photo taken with The Power, listen to his story and maybe – just maybe – throw a dart or two with the legend as well on a festive night at Manchester Hall.
