Top European golfer Matt Wallace was in scintillating form last night as he shared his story so far in front of a packed LSC audience in Mayfair in the Club Room. The Londoner won three tournaments in his first full year on the European Tour last year and was dubbed the unluckiest player not to make the Ryder Cup team last September. He has hit the ground running already this year with a 2nd place at the Dubai Desert Classic. Amusing, entertaining and insightful, Matt’s hunger and desire to get to the very top was very much in evidence. Already ranked 36th in the world he is a long way towards achieving his dream. He is also the product of the Class of 17, an initiative set up by the International Sports Management agency that hand picks young talent and helps them come through to the highest level. The Sporting Club were delighted to host the event last night in association with the Class of 19, this year’s initiative, and also hear from golfer Chris Lloyd, part of the CO19, and Joel Birks, ISM Commercial Director and the founder of the Class of venture.
